Brian Primer

Brian was thrown into the world of sports at a young age. As a natural born competitor, he quickly grew to love athletics and found something unique and challenging about each sport he participated in. Growing up competing in soccer, track, swimming, baseball, gymnastics, basketball, Tae Kwon Do and tennis, he loved proving that he could do anything he set his mind to, and do it well. After rising to the state level for soccer and swimming, and years of varsity and club leagues, he decided to take a break from athletics once he went to college. Going to a gym and lifting weights was when he felt most out of place, so he decided to shift his focus to marathon training and running a few half marathons. 

Once he moved to Los Angeles, he found trying to run in this city was a challenge, and crossfit was a way to get back into a competitive environment while also facing his gym-phobia. In 2017, he joined a crossfit gym, and found that the workouts were a steeper challenge than he anticipated, and that weightlifting didn’t come to him as naturally as other sports did. Once he joined Reebok LAB in 2021, he started to flourish with the support of the coaches and members. 

Brian believes that CrossFit is about competing against only yourself, and a win is leaving the gym knowing you put everything you could into a workout. Brian enjoys encouraging people in his classes because he loves knowing he helped someone push past their limits and achieve their goal. He wants people at the end of their workout to feel improved and accomplished.
